George Kerrは、Georgia州のOcilla生まれ。
1956年に、The Serenadersを結成し、1958年に、 Never Let Me Go/I Wrote A Letter/をClockレーベルに初録音する（Clock 102）。
続いて、MGMに、Dance Darlin’ Dance/Give Me A Girlを録音(Chock full of Hits 103)（MGM K 12623,12666）。
1959年には、How Do You Mend A Broken Heart(Cross Country Label）,
My Girl Flip Flap/Gotta Go to Schoolをリリース。
1961年には、Little Anthony & Imperialsに加入し、
Faithfully Yours/Vut Vut（Carlton 566）,
A Short Prayer/Where Will You Be（Newtime 503）,
The Letter/Go and Get Your Heart Broken（Newtime 505）,
I’m Still Dansing/Bermuda Wanderful（Capitol 4291）,
Formula of Love/Dream（End 1083),
Please Say Want Me,
Bubble under in March/So Near And You So Far(End 1086）を
録音しリリースする。
Serenadersを再結成し、
1963年に、Riverside Labelに、Adios,My Love/Two Lovers Make One Fool（4549）,
VIPに、If Your Heart Say Yes/I’ll Cry Tomorrow（25002）を録音する。
If Your Heart Say Yesは、Timothy Wilsonがリードを務めている。
その後、Motownで、Mr.Luckyの名も用いてソングライティング、スタッフ、プロデューサーとして活動し、Sammy Turner’sのOnly You/Right Nowをプロデュース。
1967年には、Linda Jonesのアルバム「Hypnotized」O’jaysの「Back on Top」、
1970年ManhattansのWith these Hands、
1976年、Norma Jenkinsの「Patience Is A Virtue」、
The Whatnauts「Reaching For The Star」、
Escorts「All We Need Is Another Chance」をプロデュースしている。
他にも、Moments,First Classをプロデュースしている。
