Isley Brothersは、1957年、Teenage Labelに、Angel Cried/The Cow Jumped Over The Moon（Teenage 1004)を録音する。

Teenageでの録音は、Best Of Teenage Records(T-1000）で聴くことができる。

同年、更に、Mark-Xに、The Drag/Rockin’ McCdonald（7003)、Cindyに、Don’t Be Jealous/This is the End(3009)を録音する。Mark-X,Cindyでの作品は、Isley Brothers/Marvin & Johnny（Crown CLP-5352,CST-643）で聴くことができる。

1958年には、Goneに、I Wanna Know/Every’s Gonna Rock and Roll(50229、My Love/The Drag(5048)を録音する。

1959年に、RCAと契約。RCAでのファーストシングルI’m Gonna Knock on Your Door/Turn to Me(RCA 47-7537）をリリース。同年、Shoutがヒットし、同曲の他、Respectable,Without A Songを含むアルバム「Shout」（RCA-Victor LSP-2156）をリリースする。

1961年からはAtlanticに録音。Atlantic期の作品は、ジミヘンドリクスがバックを務めるIn The Begining（T-Neck 3007）がある。

1962年は、Wand、1963年は、United Artist、1965年、VIP、1966年、Veepに録音を残す。Wand期には、Twist & Shout、United Artist期には、Twisting and ShoutingというLPがある。

1966年から1968年は、Tamlaに録音する。Tamla期のアルバムには、This Old of Mineがある。

1969年は、Phico-Ford-Hipに録音した後、T-Neckレーベルに録音を開始。1969年、アルバム、It’s Your Thingをリリース。

1973年には、3+3（32563）、1975年には、Heat Is on（33536）をリリース。
